Richard's Story



I changed jobs about 6 years ago and I was a bus driver, well, I am a bus driver. Through the years I noticed the going from a 32 waist to a 34 waist and then to a 36 waist. We was on holidays and you see the holiday snaps and all you see in front of you is a gut. Well all I saw in front of me was a gut. I didn’t like what I saw. I wasn’t happy with myself and within myself and that’s why I decided to do a programme.


I started it in the beginning going out after tea and walking, just walking for half an hour – adequate enough. Then I started walking, jogging, walking, jogging getting myself into it. Because I’m a motivated person I wanted to push myself. Now we can run the circuit I used to walk. After a week or so I noticed a change. I noticed I was losing a little bit of weight but I didn’t realise how much I’d lost until I got weighed properly. If it hadn’t been for the programme I would have still been eating salad and moaning that I’m not losing weight. I lost through what I’ve done with the help of the programme about 8 or 9kg. At the beginning I never thought of that, it’s just starting it at the beginning and working yourself up to where you want to be and losing that bit of weight what you want to lose and building from there.
